Burrasca’s innovative engine hood opening system
Burrasca is a one-of-a-kind personal watercraft and that’s something we’ve already claimed over and over again. But what makes it so special?
It’d be impossibile to choose just one characteristic that makes this runabout a unique and groundbreaking pwc, but we’ll give it a try.
We could say that one of the main features that make Belassi’s creation so awe inspiring is the innovative engine hood that the Austrian company designed and built specifically for their Burrasca. It features a new opening system, giving answers to a need that many people in the world of personal watercraft, riders, dealers and mechanics alike, have felt at least once in their lives.
As a matter of fact, working on the engine of a pwc has always proven to be a difficult task, to say the least, even when dealing with a the smallest of damage, problem or failure; sometimes mechanics had to take the whole engine out and saying that it’s a waste of time is quite an understatement.
Burrasca’s opening system is a new technology, something never seen before, and it was designed by Belassi’s Engineers working inside the Research and Technological Department of the Austrian headquarters in Linz. Thanks to their efforts inspecting or repairing the engine will be so much easier and faster. Opening at a 75° angle, this fiber glass structure was specifically made to leave more room to work on the heart of the Austrian beast; it also allows to see almost all of Burrasca’s most important “organs” inside its belly, while keeping them perfectly safe thanks to a very strong sealing system.
Soon mechanics and riders all over Europe will be able to test this incredible and groundbreaking opening system made by Belassi for Burrasca.
